The Tallahassee Film Fest hits screens all over town this weekend. Go to the site, choose some movies, go out and see them. I want to see
God's Cartoonist, myself. What could be better than a documentary about noted Christian fundie
cartoon tract maker and general wing-nut,
Jack Chick?

Ha! I was going to ask you if you were going to go see that. I had suspicion you might want to...
Chick Tracts were a major influence on the size and layout of many of my better zines.
Am expecting a full report, I need to live Tallahassee vicariously through someone :)
I promise, if I get to go to any of it, I'll spill the whole story.
Boy, Jack Chick's tracts used to keep me awake at night as a kid. I distinctly remember one about a bratty little girl "rejecting Jesus" and going straight to hell. The film sounds really interesting!
I've got a whole collection. The first one I saw was about a kid who gets beat to death by his drunkard dad. But it's a happy ending, because he accepts Jesus before he bleeds to death in a dirty alley. Man, Jack Chick is seriously fucked in the head.
That's an excellent way of putting it. Nice to discover your blog!
