fairly useless passion

This is my favorite part of the zine making process. I've done my interviews, compiled my photos, wrangled columns out of strangers, decided on a cover image. Half the content is printed up, sliced out, and pasted down. I'm working through a check list of needs that crop up as I put this thing in order, and I'm sliding downhill toward a hard deadline on Sunday night. Sprinting to publish, there's just nothing better.

It IS like being in love, isn't it?

Yep. Now, if only someone would pay me for this.

I would like a copy please. I think you need a paper machine out in front of the Fives where I can buy a copy when I walk by. Everyone else will want to buy a copy too and you'll get paid in many shiny quarters.

I wonder how much those things cost. You know what I want? An old cigarette machine. I'll put little bitty zines and crafts in it and set it in a bar and let people buy them.

That is an amazingly awesome idea. You should definitely do that.

My big problem in life is that I have amazing ideas and no budget.

You should ask for donations.

That feels really weird to me. I'm about to start charging for ads, though.
