Halfway to 70

In honor of my birthday, I'd like to share a few things I've learned in my 35 years.

- You can never own too many dictionaries.
- Nothing good comes from drinking tequila after midnight.
- Sleep when you get a chance.
- If you're patient and not too picky, you never have to buy electronics or furniture.
- Knees don't really heal.
- Nothing is all that weird once you're in the middle of it.
- Know where your flashlights are.

Thanks for having me, Mama. I sure think you did a good job.

Happy birthday!

I like your lessons. I have dozens of dictionaries.

Thanks! I don't know that I have dozens, but I have at least ten.

Happy Birthday, dude!

I don't think I currently own a dictionary. But I have an internet connection. Just as good, right?

Sage advice, my dear. Happy birthday.

PS Please add "always wear sunscreen" to your list - or at least the list for the next 35 years.

I have a few dictionaries myself, as you know.
Darling- you are wise beyond your years but have always been. Halfway to seventy- stop that! I'm halfway to Dead Plus thirty-or-so! Jesus!
Let's put it this way- you are still a baby. My baby. And that's for sure.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

BE: unless the power is out! Hence the flashlights.

Omgrrrl: I'm a redhead, so that goes without saying.

Mama: oh, hush.

Lois: Thanks! So far, so good.

Happy Birthday DTG. Nice list, I would like to add:
No matter how bad it gets, don't give up.
I am always surprised when I pull off a comeback, because I never think I can.
I know you feel old but you ain't! You are right about the knees, shoulders too!

Thanks, SB, love you, too.

HWB: Oh, I don't feel so old. Just my knees!

I especially like, nothing is all that weird once you're in the middle of it. For real.

Congrats on your new life, DTG. I am a fan of your mom, and also of you!

It's so true, isn't it? And any fan of my mom is a friend of mine.
